From seed, to tree, to bean, to bar, Lonohana chocolate is nothing short of authentic, responsibly made Hawaiian chocolate. The family-run company is located right here on O‘ahu with 14 acres of cacao on the North Shore and a manufacturing factory in Honolulu. Its name – Lonohana – is a nod to the two families behind the company, the Klassens and the Boones, and Lono, the Hawaiian god of agriculture, rain, fertility, music and peace. Lonohana is committed to a transparent manufacturing process, preserving the environment, celebrating the farming lifestyle as a noble endeavor, and producing world-class chocolate. From seed to bar, the entire product cycle takes place right here on O‘ahu under the careful oversight of founder, farmer and chocolate maker, Seneca Klassen.
